Graveside Services for Mrs. Barbara Ann Ford Ross will be Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM, at Council Cemetery Hwy 112 Toomsboro, Georgia. Pastor Eddie D. Smith will officiate.
Ms. Barbara Ann Ford Ross was called home on April 14, 2020 at the Coliseum Medical Center. She was born on February 13, 1964 at Baldwin County Hospital. She was to the parentage of Mrs. Alberta Ford Coates and the late Riley Shinholster.
Babara was a member of Solid Rock Outreach Ministries. She served as an Ordained Minister Prophetess. She was a faithful Church Member and served people in the community.
Barbara was the founder and President of Women Empowerment. She unselfishly gave her time and dedication to help people in need, specifically women affected by domestic violence. She was very passionate and had a pure heart of gold. She was the founder of numerous Holiday activities to serve the kids in the community. She served as a Foster Parent to many children. She was an advocate for the people in the community. She served as a resident council member for Milledgeville Housing Authority.
Ms. Barbara was an Entrepreneur, operating several business such as Sassy Fashion Clothing Retail, Wet and Wash Carwash, and Suga Shack Night Club.
Preceded in death were her beloved father, Riley Shinhoster, stepfather, Willie Coates, brother, Ricky L. Shinholster, and Aunt Idell Belt.
Ms. Barbara Ford Ross leaves to celebrate her memories of her life: A devoted daughter Katrina Ford Staton (Oliver), two loving grandchildren Rodrick Hurt Jr. and Tahara Hurt, a loving mother Ms. Alberta Coates, sisters: Mary Harper (Ricky), Angela Taylor, Annette Ford, Marie Ford Anderson, Sarah M. Thorpe, brothers: Roger Ford (Michelle), Calvin Ford (Tyvishia), Alvin Ford (Trina), Willie Coates (Zeniada), Riley E Sinholster (Celena), Philip L. Shinholster, Timothy Shinholster (Sonia). Her extended family: Melvin Ross and stepdaughter Latrece Ross. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an extended grandchild. A devoted cousin, April Harrison (Aubri) and devoted aunt, Addie Knight (Willie), and her devoted friends: Freda Jackson, Benny Middlebrooks, and Keytaya Scott.
