Funeral Services for Mr. Willie James Smith, Jr. will be held Saturday, March 27 at 2:00PM. Location Rear Parking Lot of Shiloh First Baptist Church 122 Hooks Street, Gordon. Dr. Kendrick K. Mack, Sr. will be the eulogist.

Willie James Smith, Jr. was born on May 05, 1954 to the late Mr. Willie James Smith, Sr. and Mrs. Odessa Anderson Smith.  On March 22, 2021, he departed this life and entered into eternal rest.

He was preceded in death in death by his brother, Gary Smith and two sisters, Gwendolyn S. Adside and Elaine Smith.

Willie, affectionately known as “Sweet” received his education through Wilkinson County Public School System. He joined Shiloh First Baptist Church at an early age. He was employed at Mill Industrial Company at an early age.  He retired after 40 years of dedicated service.  Willie was well known around Gordon for his dancing and good spirit.  Willie enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted and loving wife, Rhonda Porter Smith; two sons, Torris Smith of Augusta, Georgia and Vince Smith (Baraka) of Gordon, Georgia; two devoted sisters, Gloria Burke of Somerset, New Jersey and Nancy White of Gordon, Georgia; five brothers- in- laws Reverend Willie Frank Renfroe (Pearly) and Floyd Porter (Brenda) both of Atlanta, Georgia Thomas Porter of Alabama, Glen Porter (Natasha) of Gordon, Georgia,  Willie Porter, Sr. of Milledgeville, Georgia, Shirley Cantrell (Anthony), Cathy Porter Harris (Royce), Sheila Porter Solomon (Douglas) all of Gordon, Georgia; Linda Ann Burke (Mason) of Macon, Georgia, Lisa Woodard (Terry) of Toomsboro, Georgia; one aunt Lucille Gail (Larry) of Macon, Georgia and two grandchildren Majestic and Heaven Robinson of Warner Robins, Georgia and one great grandchild Faith Robinson of Warner Robins, Georgia; a devoted niece Tamara Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
